Tanaya Yadav Kathak World Record, Gold in Karate, Book on Shelves, Pursuing Law: Quintuple Milestone. A Rare Blend of Grace and Grit: Tanaya Yadav Kathak Dancer from Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan, has gained recognition for completing the Sangeet Prabhakar qualification in Kathak at 16, while also pursuing law, Karate and authoring. 16 year old Tanaya Yadav from Jhunjhunu in Rajasthan has quietly rewritten what is possible for a young classical dancer. In June 2025 she became the youngest person in the world to earn the Sangeet Prabhakar degree in Kathak, the rigorous qualification awarded by Prayag Sangeet Samiti in Prayagraj. At exactly 16 years, 11 months and 24 days, she completed a course of study that most dancers approach only after many more years of steady work. The recognition arrived on June 19, 2025 and immediately marked her as a rare prodigy in a tradition that prizes patience as much as talent. Kathak is one of India’s eight classical dance forms. It asks for precise footwork, intricate rhythmic patterns, expressive storytelling and a solid grasp of theory and history. Tanaya trained in the Jaipur Gharana under Guru Harish Gangani, a respected exponent known for powerful technique and clear narrative. Those who watched her progress say the emphasis was never on chasing records. The goal was simply to build an honest, durable foundation in the art. The world record, when it came, was the natural result of years of daily discipline rather than a sudden leap. Her achievements do not stop at the dance floor. In 2022 she travelled to Punjab for the first Indo-Nepal International Karate Championship and returned with a gold medal in the Kata category. The same focus that shapes her footwork on stage also shapes her martial-arts practice. Alongside both, she found time to write. Her book, *Kathak: The Rhythm of Inner Strength*, is available on Amazon. In its pages she treats Kathak not only as performance but as a quiet source of confidence, self-control and personal growth, something she has lived rather than merely described. Academically she is equally brilliant ambitious. Tanaya is enrolled in the five-year integrated B.Com. LL.B. (Honours) programme at Symbiosis Law School, Pune, where she is concentrating on business law and legal frameworks. In June 2026 she founded Legal Nexus, a practical online resource she now runs as Founder and CEO. The site offers drafting templates, court directories and reference material aimed at law students and young professionals who need clear, usable tools rather than dense theory alone. Her earlier experiences already showed the same restless curiosity. At Fortis Hospital she researched psychological disorders, diagnostic standards and clinical approaches. During an internship at the American Centre of the U.S. Embassy she presented on emerging technologies that address global challenges and experimented with robotic models built from Lego and custom programming. In January 2023 she served as a team leader with NITI Aayog and the Energy Swaraj Foundation, helping plan and run a global climate-assembly event. She has also represented India as a Kazakhstan delegate in virtual summits organised by the British Council and RIDS, managing logistics that ranged from inventory and budgeting to costume design.
