Most people think I work in marketing.
They’re not wrong.

But if I had to describe my work more accurately, I would say I spend my days doing what a good agency has always done: helping organisations understand themselves better and communicate it to their audiences.

An agency, at its core, is not about campaigns, creatives or communication channels. It is about perspective.
It is the ability to step outside a business, see what others cannot, ask uncomfortable questions, find the opportunity hidden inside a challenge, and translate complexity into something people can understand.

That is the role I have played throughout my career.

I started as a journalist, where my job was to observe, question and uncover stories. That foundation took me into public relations, brand building, digital strategy and eventually agency leadership — but the thread remained the same: understanding what matters and helping people communicate it better.

Today, as a Group Head at ConceptX, I lead teams that work with organisations to solve business problems through strategy, creativity and communication.
